Comments about language school TREFF PUNKT

I spent two weeks at Treffpunkt in October 2006. I didn’t know what to expect and was apprehensive, since I feared I would be (and was) the oldest student. As it turned out, that made no difference.

The staff was friendly and helpful and made me feel completely welcome. They leaned over backwards to help the students and provide interesting extra-curricular activities.

The teachers were excellent. I also took private classes two afternoons a week which were very helpful. My German comprehension greatly improved. I also gained a better understanding of grammar and have better direction for my home studying.

This little city is a jewel with the Romanesque Cathedral, Baroque buildings, and other beautiful churches. It is easy to walk around the Innenstadt and also safe to walk around after dark. There are many cultural and other activities. It is easy to travel by train to nearby cities and towns such as Wuerzburg and Nuernberg. For ice cream lovers, there are several exceptional Eiscafes that feature specialties among which are Eis Sphagetti, Eis Lasagna, and Eis Pizza. I especially enjoyed going to lunch with the other students which was a good opportunity to practice German, sample the local cuisine, and try the different breweries’ beers.

I wish I could have stayed longer. I plan to return for another two weeks next year.
